The Edward Said Public Library (ESPL), founded in 2019, honours the legacy of Edward Wadie Said, the Palestinian-American scholar, literary critic, and advocate renowned for his groundbreaking work “Orientalism” and unwavering commitment to Palestinian rights.
With branches in Gaza City and Bait Lahiya, ESPL serves as a beacon for Palestinian cultural heritage, offering dedicated spaces like the Music Corner, Reading Corner, Computer Corner, and English Language Skills Corner. It provides a nurturing environment where Palestinian youth and children can read, learn, and enhance their skills, emphasizing self-learning through modern educational methods.
