About Us

From Vision to Action:

The Youth Vision Society and Youth Development in Palestine

Who we are

The Youth Vision Society (YVS) started as a youth-led initiative passionate about community development and providing hope in Gaza. The organisation initially focused on youths as the future of Gaza. In 2009, with the support of numerous volunteers, YVS became a registered civil society organisation in Palestine.

YVS emphasises empowering youth by fostering independence, responsibility, and commitment, enabling them to realise their potential and positively impact society.

We believe that young people have a crucial role in community building, and that the success of our youth is a measure of a thriving society.

What we do

We contribute to societal development by advocating for and supporting youth, as well as implementing programmes for women and children in social, psychological, and educational fields. We target youth, community leaders, women, and union representatives to improve life in Gaza.

Our creative, cultural, and participatory projects emphasize sustainability through empowerment and ownership. YVS holds regular public consultations to set priorities and address community needs. We focus on capacity building, culture, arts, human rights, social improvement, and civic participation.

Objectives

YVS's Vision

YVS envisions playing a pivotal role in building a Palestinian society founded on justice, democracy, and equality.

YVS's Mission

YVS aims for a society where youth are prepared for success, empowered to pursue suitable careers aligned with their interests, qualifications, and talents. By enhancing the abilities of youth, women, and children, YVS strives to develop resilient individuals who actively contribute to building a safer, more resilient Palestinian community.
