Handicraft Exhibition

The Youth Vision Society held a handicraft exhibition for seventh-grade students as part of the activities of the project “Compensatory Education and Psychological Support for Primary School Students in the Gaza Strip.”

Project coordinator Rawand Daloul said that the exhibition is part of interactive classroom activities aimed at enhancing manual skills and discovering talents among students, as well as encouraging them to develop their creative abilities.

Ruba Dweik, an English teacher responsible for organizing the exhibition, explained that this activity simulates the “Craft Show” lesson in the seventh grade curriculum. The exhibition included a variety of traditional Palestinian crafts such as embroidery, pottery painting, wool knitting, henna painting, handmade accessories, and various types of painting.

She emphasized that the activity aims to reinforce academic information in an interactive way and introduce students to local traditional crafts, noting the great enthusiasm shown by the students in preparing their artwork.

For her part, student Watin Al-Halabi expressed her happiness at participating in the “wool knitting” corner, where she displayed a blouse and bag of her own making, which she learned to knit during the war.

Watin said, “I love handicrafts, especially traditional ones, and I wanted to show my classmates my work and achievements. I hope there will be more activities that allow us to showcase and develop our talents.”

This exhibition is part of the Youth Vision Association’s efforts to create an encouraging and safe educational environment that supports children’s artistic and professional expression in the harsh conditions of war.
