The Youth Vision Society began as an initiative by a group of young people who were enthusiastic and passionate about developing and building their local community and who wanted to provide hope for others. The idea of an organisation which focused on youths as the future for Gaza developed and was led by a large group of volunteers. In 2009 their dreams became a reality and YVS became fully registered as a civil society organisation in Palestine.

The importance of establishing an association which centred youth vision emerged, and focused on giving young people independence and help, responsibility, and commitment to enable them to develop and draw on their potential and prioritise their participation in having a positive impact on society.

We believe that young people have a major and effective role in building the community and that the attention paid to youth is a measure of a thriving society.
